Facelift 3.0

The injection of one’s own body fat, also called lipofilling, is in vogue. Quite new is the combination of own fat injection with a facelift. Throughout Germany, the aesthetic plastic surgeon Dr. Markus Klöppel is a pioneer of this method. We wanted to know more about how it feels and interviewed a patient after her facelift in a video.

The combination of Intrinsic fat injections with a Facelift opens up new dimensions in the field of facial rejuvenation. “With a classic facelift, the contours can be optimized but unfortunately, you can’t improve the quality of the skin,” explains Dr. Klöppel. “Through injections of processed autologous fat, the skin regains a youthful radiance, a fresh Glow and new Volume“, says Dr. Klöppel.

To do this, the body’s own fat is very gently suctioned out of the abdomen or thigh area with small-caliber cannulas, specially prepared and re-injected only in small amounts. “In this way, many more fat cells survive and the surrounding tissue is spared,” the surgeon emphasizes. Modern apparatuses in a closed system enable fat preparation that is gentle on the tissue. A special, state-of-the-art technique then creates a so-called fat emulsion, which can be applied like a filler. “But this technique has now been truly revolutionized by two other procedures,” explains Dr. Klöppel.

Micro-liposomes provide volume, replenishing dwindling subcutaneous fatty tissue. The effect: wrinkles, lines and skin imperfections disappear. The nano-liosomes, in turn, stimulate skin regeneration, which can improve even pronounced skin damage. “This breakthrough resurfacing effect sets in after about 2 to three months. In combination with the facelift, the result is a sustainably contoured face of incredible naturalness,” Dr. Klöppel is pleased to say.
